What a great living history book! I was given a free copy by Mr. Baumgardner to review for the TOS Crew.

Sarah's Wish takes place in the 19th century during the time of the Underground Railroad. Sarah is a 12 year old girl who gets orphaned and has to persevere through a time of helping people and desiring a family of her own. The story starts on a bit of a sad note with Sarah's mother dying from a buggy accident. It's quite sad but she strives to make the best of her life.

Sarah often thinks of and remembers her mother throughout the story. That in itself is a great lesson for children and parents alike. It helps to show what a great impact a parent has in teaching their children.

As a living history book, Sarah's wish has great lessons to be learned! This is a great book to add to your reading list if you are studying this time period. Bounty hunters hunting for slaves, buggies, storing vegetables, Indians, and riverboats are just a few of the themes exposed in this book.

Another great aspect of this book is that it comes with a free download of the audio book! In the back of the book is a page with instructions on how to get the download. It is really simple.

My thoughts are simple: It's a Christian, living history book with excitement. I like it!
