Paula and Nancy at A Journey Through Learning have provided some wonderful lapbooks and unit studies! We did the Amphibians Lapbook with Study Guide for 2nd through 7th grade and it has been great!

The study guide provides a good base for learning about amphibians. You can take the study deeper by getting books from the library on frogs, toads, salamanders, caecilians, their defenses, habitats and much more! We didn't dig that deep, although it would have been a lot of fun. We have learned a lot from the guide that comes with the study.

Double Espresso has been able to work through the lapbook mostly on his own. He reads a section in the study guide, I make sure he understands it and we discuss it. He cuts out the pieces for the lapbook and looks at the helpful guide/map included in the lapbook and is able to place the mini-books and info where they are supposed to go.

Doing this lapbook on amphibians has peaked an already curious mind about frogs and toads. Double Espresso understands amphibians better and now he wants one for a pet! I thought that it would be a great way to bring this study to life.

We will definitely be using more lapbooks from A Journey Through Learning. This is a great way for kids to learn!
