Nature Friend includes great articles on things such as: walking sticks, birds, turtles, the stars, cicada and frogs just to name a few. The articles have a good amount of information on the topic and we always learn something new! The photos that go with the articles are beautiful.

Nature Friend can be enjoyed as a great magazine to read or it can be utilized as a homeschool curriculum. Not only are there informative articles but in every issue there is a section on art called, "You Can Draw". It takes you step by step in the process of drawing something such as a bear or a sunflower. After a drawing is done, you can submit it to the magazine in hopes that it will be picked and put in a future publication.

Another section in the magazine is called, "Learning by Doing". There is an article on a specific subject (like animal tracks or pigments in plants) and then it gives an idea for an experiment or a hands on learning activity.
As a homeschool mom, I really like this feature!
