Tallest Living Dog ~ Your Kids Will Love This

Tallest Living Dog ~ Your kids will love this!

This would make a great writing topic.

  • What would you do with a dog this tall?
  • What would you name a dog this tall?
  • What would you have to feed a dog this big?
  • What would your life be like if you had a dog like this?

Homeschool High School ~ Writing Essays

Every person learns differently.  My oldest (15) learns through video.  He has educated himself through tutorials and.... YouTube!  LOL!

One thing I would really like for my high schooler to learn is how to write essays.  I found some lessons YouTube that I think are interesting and informative.

Thursday

So...what's going on on Mars?

Your nerdier children (lol...like mine) may be interested in knowing what is going to happen on Mars very soon.

Incredible ~ The Fingerprint of God ~ Very Educational

This video takes a whole 4 minutes but will give you a new outlook on creation and the creator.  I don't know who the people are that made it but it points out some interesting facts.

How to eat a pomegranate

The pomegranate: extremely healthy, people have been eating them for thousands of years, mentioned in the Bible, God made them and they are gooood!

Getting those little, juicy seeds out can be difficult and messy!  This video shows us how to do it simply.

Mission India

Encourage missions and compassion in your children!

The boys and I went through the first video series and companion guides last year.  We couldn't have been more pleased.  These videos and devotions helped the boys develop a heart for the people of India and our very own neighbors.

After the series was over, we were all sad...  BUT the good news is, it's back!  Get ready for year 2 of "My Passport to India!"

Year 1 here:  My Passport to India
(Quote from Mission India)

He's baaaack!Everybody's favorite tour guide is back in India and he's excited to take you into the summer Children's Bible Clubs (CBCs) you helped start!
Over the next few weeks, Chris will take you on a whirlwind tour to:
  • See what happens before a Children's Bible Club gets started
  • Spend time with the volunteer club leaders who are reaching out to kids across India this summer
  • Introduce you to some of the boys and girls who are attending your CBCs
  • Discover how your Children's Bible Clubs have the power to impact entire communities
  • Show you why pastors and churches in India love CBCs so much!
We hope your families developed a heart for India when you joined us last fall for our Passport to India adventure.

A video kids will love!

Double Espresso was studying mosquitoes in Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day. It showed a picture of a mosquito sucking blood.  I had the idea of looking up a video on YouTube of a mosquito sucking blood and this is what he found.

It's quite fascinating and I think it's a good lesson for kids since most children have had mosquito "bites."

SNAKE!

Take a look at this SERIOUSLY long snake!  I'm sure you'll want to show this to your children.  ;)

Did ya like it?

Internet In India Slums ~ The hole in the wall

Children are so intelligent. Often times, adults don't give them the credit that they are due.

A computer specialist put community computers in several slums in India and the children began to teach themselves how to use them.  It is truly amazing.

Watch this and be inspired! Don't forget to show your kids!    ;)
